How to choose
Measure around the child’s fullest chest, keeping the tape level. Then compare the finished measurements with a similar jacket that fits: zip it, lay it flat, and double the underarm-to-underarm width for chest circumference. Check length and sleeve reach as well. Measure sleeves from the center back of the neck across the shoulder to the cuff. For a child between sizes 12 and 14, compare Youth M and Youth L rather than choosing by age alone.
